Bee2Me is rolling out a host of new features thanks to its beta testers: the big October update!

Thanks to the numerous feedback, suggestions, and field tests from our pioneer beekeepers, Bee2Me is evolving dramatically with the October update! This major update brings brand new features, a redesigned interface, enhanced security, and international expansion. Let's discover what's changing together.

🌸 Bloom and Forage Resources Around the Apiary

A new "Identify a Plant" feature required a lot of work and discussions to optimize precision and simplicity. The search is guided by simple questions (tree, shrub, liane, herb, flower shape...). It leads you to the plant among 69 bee-friendly species (nectar and pollen): 58 major ones and 11 frequently reported ones. And there is a photo for each of them!

Plant recording and display on the map have been greatly improved, featuring in particular:

  • foraging range circles around apiaries,
  • bloom stages clearly indicated for plants,
  • and agricultural crops (sunflower, buckwheat, etc.) as well as organic fields!

On the apiary page, a detailed chart displays the apiary's nectar potential at a single glance.

πŸ”” More Reliable and Tailored Alerts

Following various heatwaves that triggered waves of emails among our testers, the "Alert" feature underwent extensive discussions and adjustments.

Alert emails are triggered as before, based on observed norms defined in your region, but now also above minimum thresholds when data volume is insufficient. Heavy rain, late frost, strong winds, critical hornet pressure, stores, brood, and weight loss are all monitored factors: you are alerted if your colonies are in danger.

The summary email has been completely redesigned, as have the alerts, which are now much clearer on the dashboard and the apiary page.

🐝 Tracking Hives, Colonies, and Queens

Colony activity logs have been expanded: entries and transfers of hives, colonies, and queens are now automatically recorded.

πŸ› οΈ The Inventory (La RΓ©serve)

The inventory has been completely reorganized, and cost tracking has been improved.

🌍 Bee2Me in English

The website is now fully translated into English (bee2me.fr/en). Even the breeding log is available in English.

🎨 New Look

We finally have an eye-friendly dark mode across the entire site. Visual elements such as buttons, maps, page headers, and the official Bee2Me logo have been redesigned and standardized. A new set of 63 custom-drawn beekeeping icons has been created for Bee2Me to animate the various pages of the site, which are also now more readable on mobile and tablets.

πŸ‘€ "My Profile" Page

Manage your profile information β€” such as your NAPI and SIRET numbers β€”, your notification preferences, and choose the avatar that suits you best from a gallery of around forty Bee2Me icons.

πŸ“Š Dashboard and Monitoring

The dashboard has been improved. It is now a true control tower: at a single glance, inspect global statistics for your apiaries or access an enriched annual breeding log (data, reports, analyses).

And there are many more improvements regarding your inventory management, ergonomics, maps, etc., which would be too long to list here.

A huge thank you to Jean-Pierre, Marc, Didier, Luc, and Agnès for sharing and supporting us. The team and our beta testers are now focused on app development. We will be back with news very soon! Stay tuned!
